Medical Journal of Montenegro will publish article immediately after finishing peer review and correction process. Edition won't wait for certain number of articles to close number of journal.

This policy makes time between submission and publishing of papers as short as possible and remain quality of paper and whole journal.

Medical journal of Montenegro accept for publishing editorials, original articles, professional papers, review articles, case report, historical contribution, comments, book reviews.

The original article, professional papers and review articles must not exceed 10 pages of text. Details on the structure of the works can be found in the section "Preparation of work."

A Case report, up to 4 text pages and attachments. It consists of structured abstracts in Montenegrin and English language (up to 150 words).

Case report and History rewue text and attachments up to 8 pages. Published materials are of interest for the elucidation of certain events in the history of medicine in Montengro. Historical article may or may not have an abstract.

Review of the book should not be longer than 2 pages. It contains basic information about the publication (authors, the original title, publisher, place and year of publication), a brief description of the content and significance of the book. Display the basic information to readers, and does not contain critical comments.

Papers in Medical Journal of Montenegro are published in Montenegrin or English. Abstracts in English is obligatory required.

The work required the use of international measurement system (SI). Exceptions include blood pressure should be expressed in mm Hg and the temperature, which should be expressed in C.

In the papers. Authors must use only standard abbreviations. Abbreviations do not use in the title and abstract. Full name with the abbreviation in brackets give the first reference in the text. Example Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS).

The manuscript is written in a word processor Microsoft Word for Office programs, use font size 12 (recommended original Times New Roman, not its modifications) For formatting text use only bold and italic letters.

Submitted manuscripts are subject to anonymous review by at least two editors / reviewers. Comments and suggestions of the editor and reviewers are submitted to the author. The authors do not received reviewers report. Keywords are not subject to author's proofs, since it is the Thesaurus descriptors that define professional indexers.

Preparation of manuscript

Papers prepared in accordance with the agreement, Noble (V edition, the revision in 1997.) The title should be short, clear and informative, in Montenegrin and English without abbreviation that corresponds to the content of the work. Subheadings should be avoided.

Print the full names of authors without titles.

State the full name of the institution in which I work is prepared and the place in which the institution is located. Signs *, †, ‡, | |, §, ¶, **, † † ... etc.. to identify the author of that institution. Name, address and telephone numbers (fixed, mobile, fax) and e-mail address to contact the author responsible for correspondence about the manuscript.

2 Abstract and keywords

Structured abstract, written in English and Montenegrin language. Abstracts should be written in short sentences Structured abstarkt has the following paragraphs Background, Material and method, Results and Conclusion Abstract is written to 250 words.

A case report has abstract of 150 words, with subtitles introduction, and the conclusion of the case.

Abstracts of papers from other article types not required.

Below the abstract, under the heading "Keywords" give 3-10 key words or short phrases that reflect the content of the article. They only help in indexing and do not necessarily in the form found in the article as it will use the appropriate descriptors or terms from the Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) list of Index Medicus

3 Text of article

Original articles must necessarily contain the following sections:


State the hypothesis (if any) and the objectives of which derive from it. Summarize the reasons for the study or observation. .


Describe your selection method is applied and experimental methods. Define the groups and the data to be analyzed. Identify and define data collection methods. The experiment emphasized that the procedure was conducted in accordance with the ethical standards of the Committee for experiments on humans or the Declaration of Helsinki. Obligated and consent of the competent ethics committee. Describe in detail the statistical methods that enable well-informed reader to verify the presented results. The results are shown in logical sequence in the text or tables and illustrations. The text does not repeat all the data in the tables or illustrations; emphasize or summarize only important observations.

Tables and figures limited to those necessary to explain and support positions in the work.


Emphasize the new and important aspects of the study and the conclusions that follow from them. His observation correlated with other relevant studies. Define the weaknesses of the methodology applied. Include suggestions for future research. Link the conclusions with the goals of the study but avoid categorical assertions and conclusions.


Brief concluding main remarks with a clear message.

5 Literature

Data from the literature should be numbered in the order in which they appear in the text. Arabic numbers in brackets (1).

6. Contributions


Tables mark the order of appearance in the text by Arabic numerals (Table 1) and give each a brief title. Tables in Word format to have in place in the text as the author planned. Each table must always be mentioned in the text. Do not use too many tables in relation to the length of the text because it makes it difficult to break.

Illustrations (photos)

All graphic images are photographs, drawings, graphs, diagrams, charts called images. Photos should be in JPG TIF format, black-and-white. The image should be marked with the order of appearance in the text of Figure 1 Figure 2 further.
